Tips and spots
Las Palmas is full of opportunities to practice a wide variety of sports. Below you'll find some tips we've collected over the years.
SNORKELING

There are several snorkeling sets at the house. You can dive almost anywhere along Las Canteras where there are rocks. Try to choose a time when the tide is lower. Check websites like Surfline and Las Canteras Snorkeling Map . Our favorite spot is near Taverna Chica.
You can also take a longer trip to Los Charcones, Roque Prieto Pools and Piscina Natural , which are natural diving pools :)
BEACH PLAY AND PADEL
Near the Las Canteras beach house, you'll find fully accessible beach volleyball and paddle tennis courts. There's always someone playing between 12:00 and 1:00 PM.
You can join the game or bring a volleyball, net, rackets and padel balls from home .

SURFING

A surf spot for beginners, but also for those who are more experienced, is within walking distance – at the other end of Las Canteras, opposite the Auditorio.
There are schools, instructors, and rental companies for surfing and kayaking equipment, such as Mojosurf or Oceanside .
KAYAKING
Kayaking is a slightly more leisurely, but still active way to spend your time!
There are many places offering kayaks near Las Canteras (e.g. the above-mentioned Mojosurf), there are also spots that offer both rentals and organized trips in a transparent kayak .

GYM

Going on holiday doesn't mean losing your shape ;)
Check out the nearby Gimnasio Vico Centro Deportivo gym.
YOGA AND FITNESS
Right next to the house (literally around the corner) there are two yoga schools with a sea view – Power Yoga and Pure Yoga .
Other than that, the obvious option is jogging along Las Canteras and the unspoiled beach north of the Casita. Nothing beats the view of the water and palm trees!
