In Las Palmas, and especially in Las Canteras, right next to the Casita, there are countless delicious and atmospheric restaurants. We know from experience that no matter where you decide to eat, you won't be disappointed. It's also worth taking advantage of the fresh and interesting ingredients available at markets and markets.
Below are some of our favorite and must-visit spots.
DINO SUPERMERCADO
At Dino Mercado you can shop and find typical Spanish products and fantastic fresh fish and seafood.
We highly recommend grabbing some fresh ingredients and whipping something up in your kitchen at home or in the kitchen by the terrace - you can go straight out to the balcony and have dinner while watching the sunset overlooking the water :)
MERCADO DEL PUERTO
A great place for an afternoon of culinary exploration is Mercado Del Puerto. This market hall also boasts a wide selection of fresh produce, but also numerous shops selling pinchos, tapas, churros, wine, coffee, and much more.
A little deeper into the city is Mercado Central , also a market hall filled with fresh produce.
LUNCH RIGHT NEARBY
Pizzadillo is a great choice if you want to grab a quick dinner right next to your home - despite the name, they sell delicious Spanish sandwiches.
For a classic pizza, you can go to Pulcinella .
TAVERNA CHICA
Spanish cuisine is, of course, known for its paella - in Las Canteras, every other restaurant serves fantastic paella, but Taverna Chica is one of the places we highly recommend.
CAFES/BREAKFASTS
Not far from the house in Las Canteras, there's a row of cafes/restaurants practically in the same building, offering delicious coffee, ice cream, breakfasts, and lunches. Of course, they all have a view of the water.
AMIGO CAMILO
Amigo Camilo is a fantastic restaurant next door serving delicious fish. Reservations are essential, as the place quickly fills up with both locals and tourists.
CASA ROJA -
CASA BLANCA
Restaurante la Cocina Abierta offers excellent home-style Italian cuisine. Owned by an Italian couple, the restaurant's flavors are always a hit.
